    Very nice, simple and looks great. I love DIY projects, a little ingenuity and effort can save you so much money.

    May i ask at which shop did you buy your fittings?

    Thanx! I am finished with the 16Litre DIY Canister - 4000L/h ( the canisters inlet and outlet is connected to 2 tanks )

    Going to test it tonight, please hold thumbs and say some prayers, that this HUGE project is going to work.

    It is a 16Litre container, I want to test it first tonight - then I will add some pics.
    "I forgot to take pics , when a made the canister."

    But this boertjie will try and explain everything we did to make the canister.

    I am just curious, because I have looked around for cannisters, not actively, but while out shopping and never seen any nice large containers to use. "Boer maak 'n plan..."

    @Rickus

    nice diy...did you drill the intake holes yourself? I've done that before with a hand drill and know how much fun that can be :p

    how is the lid on the plastic box secured? is there a seal in place?

    Drilled it myself. The bigger Cannister, We drilled and the container cracked, we had to burn a hole in the container. We heated a 25mm round bar until it is red with heat.

    The lit has a seal in place "O-ring"
