Diy aquaclear 110 media basket ideas

Hi guys and girls

I recently bought an aquaclear 110 with a missing basket. Has anyone made a DIY one before? If so, please would you post pics, method and materials used?

What about plastic mesh, cut to the appropriate size, and connected via cable ties?
Not pretty, but it should be functional.
Builders warehouse and certain nurseries stock the mesh in various sizes and colours.
Get the finer mesh, in either white, green or black.
Alternatively, Seachem THE BAG, with a zipper to open and close it.
It is durable, should last you a few years, and is easy to remove and put back.

 

I have plastic mesh in the garage, which I used as my a grid for my sump holes, but I think the holes might be too big.
