Hi There, I will be re-scaping my 3ft tank, taking out all the fish, decor, plants and existing gravel. I then want to put in some Guanasol then PFP with Chemicult over that and a capping layer... River sand maybe? I am looking at doing a DIY Co2 system as well, but my question is this... I am currently running a Resun internal power filter with the return attached to a spray bar to move all the poop and stuff around. This power head has a facility to take air in and disperse it as a stream of bubbles, would I be able to attach the Co2 pipe to this air intake and then disperse it through the spray bar? I will move the spray bar down so that it sits below the water level, still agitating the water. Will this work, or am I going to have to look at an alternate method of dispersion? TIA Kim
Venturi devices on power filters go a long way in aiding CO2 dispersal...I'd lose the spray bar though....
wow.. Guanosoil and chemicult.. U may just end up with an algae tank.. Why not rather just stay with Guanosoil under inert substrate? Works wonders for me.. Pfp is very messy.. Esp with rescapes.. Also try not to use too much pfs.. It compacts.. Rather use pea sized inert gravel.. Answering ur original question, Yes you can disperse co2 using a power heads venturi pipe. Ive left the spray bar on with good results..
