    Hi

i bought a pair of discus today. the lfs informed me it came from Jack wattley hatchery.
The picture below is the male. Female still shy so she is hiding behind the filte. it was named something with a "s" .
The female looks more like turquiose.
can anyone id the strain for me. Is it from jack Wattley hatcheries?

It looks like a turquoise snake skin. It could be a cross breed but a beautiful fish none the less.

Pretty! Whatever a "Siamanikian blue" is when it's at home :wondering:
Definitely a Snakeskin, as you can tell by the high number of bars. No question about that. Blue snakeskin, turquoise snakeskin, both would be reasonable ways of describing it. Discus strain names are to a large extent made up by the breeders and there's not much consensus on the more fanciful ones. Either way, I really like it, especially the light blue in body / dark blue in fins look.

Now that is the "type/colouration/strain" of Discus I would love to keep. Beautiful colour...
