Discus breeding, almost there

So i have a breeding pair of discus, they have laid eggs 4 times now in about 2 months. The first time the male ate the egg as the female was laying them. The second time they seemed to be doing things right but the eggs were gone in the morning. The 3rd time they lasted bit longer but again the eggs were gone after about 24 hours. This time i was real excited as i was just waiting for that point to see movement in the eggs but about 2 hours after i got home this afternoon the eggs were suddenly all gone.

As these are a young pair i am waiting to see if there are wrigglers before i build a breeding tank for them. For now its a bit of a free for all with the other fish in the tank.
Good news is i only have to wait between a week and a half to 2 weeks before they at it again. They lay the eggs on the same leaf every time.

There were a couple white eggs which i understand to be "dead", is this from fungus? If so what can i use?

 

It depends, usually you see see the fungis on the eggs, white eggs are just infertile.

If you keep them with other fish, they might feel threatened then eat the eggs. You have the best chances here to give them their own tank.
