Hi all I am running a dolphin c-1600 on my 330 liter tank and I have some dead spots - when adding decorations - when the tank is bare the filter takes care of the excess waste lying around - Is there anything I can do to eliminate this issue - my input and output are on full.

In a way it's actually better. This way you get to hoover the waste out as apposed to it ending up in the filter and ultimately increasing the Nitrates.

Have you tried adjusting the angle of the filter outflow?

You can always add a small pump or internal filter, directed at the dead spot/s, which should help. Unfortunately detritus will collect it new spots due to this. Best method is, like Reedfish mentioned, tk be aware of these plases and spend more time there when doing a gravel vac.

Or even an air stone placed strategically may help.

ok great - It is a fancy goldfish tank - so flow can't be too hectic - they are not fans of strong current will be like a tidal wave for em :0 - yes I have tried changing the angle of output - I even use the output without the spray bar... :/

So no extra current wanted. Best will then be to try and remove, as much as possible, frequently.

I may just try airstone - but those water pumps work on my nerves with the buzzing :D - cost arm and leg for my new setup now so don't have budget to go all out on a silent pump...

Get yourself a Tetra APS 50, 100 or 150 air pump.
    You don't hear them.

Rather spend more on a decent pump.
The cheap ones tend to be very noisy.
