I put my danios in the breeding tank a few days ago and hope they would spawn.
Because I saw no fry or eggs I removed them.

This morning I try to catch them and put them in the breeding tank because I really want them to spawn. The female was already in the breeding tank but I was struggeling to catch the male. He is really very fast and it is almost imposseble to catch him. So I went to the female in the breeding tank just to look at her. Then I saw a small danio:bigsmile:
I removed her very quickly and when I look at the closely I saw 2 other fry. Now I have 3 danio fry. [IMG]

It was very hard to catch them.
    The male is VERY fast.
But I am glad that they have spawn.
I always want to spawn them. And now I have!!!

They actually spawn very often, the female just eats the eggs as the drop. that means your fry survived for 3 days without being eating. Whats your breeding tank made up of?

Actually its a 30 cm tank.
I called it my breeding tank because I use it for breeding fish like white clouds, danios ect...
Or I use it to put in betta fry which is much larger than the rest and nip at them.

    Congrats :)

99% likely you have had lots of eggs/fry before but the danios ate them.

I have read that a substrate of marbles works well. Apparently the eggs fall between the marbles and the parents can't get to them to eat them.
