Which of the three tanks do you like the most??

  1. 1. The 250l discus tank

  2. 2. The 100l high tech tank

  3. 3. The 16l low tech shrimp tank

So I had the driftwood and a spare 3 ft and T5 light lying around so I set up this low tech to replace the small 16 litre shrimp tank. In it now is 2 pygmy cories and a crap load of shrimp. Oh and a baby Molly lol.

My plan is to add sand substrate and do a small Cory tank or maybe apistos or both.

If I do get apistos the shrimp will probably not last though lol

Looks great. I think a thin layer of sand will improve it

Added the sand and some pebbles today coz I just couldn't hold back.

Will only stock properly after Christmas the earliest as I have exams and vac work then going on holiday so this will now sit like this for a while. Would like some pygmy cories if anyone has just to keep the 2 I have currently company so if anyone has please let me know

    Looks fantastic. Very nice

Apparently Pygmy Corries are found in huge shoals in the wild. So the more you have, the better.

Dane, I love your tanks. Of course I'm biased towards the discus, but loving the panted tank too!

Just some photos from today. Been away working the last two weeks and going away again till xmas.

Slightly worried about my discus while I'm gone but I'm hoping they will be okay. I have an awesome helping hand to look after them while I'm gone.

The shrimp tank has become a jungle and I have noticed one or two green cherries.

Could maybe be lighting, however the one I saw earlier seemed a lot greener than the one in the photograph.

The high tech has grown back just how I wanted after its trim two weeks back so I'm very happy. I'll trim the HM and some of the stem plants in the back again before I leave so it doesn't get overgrown while I'm away.

Hope you all enjoy the photos!

Looking good. HM looks very healthy also always see that HM and PFS is a good combination.

Just remember, with fine play sand, careful for too deep a substrate is does compact. Play sand should not have additives like salt.

This HM has done very well in the PFS.

I made sure to use a very thin layer so I don't think it will compact.

    Thanks Ferdie!

Yeah your sand is perfect @Drab808 more worried about @AntonP filling his 3ft with 3 play sand or 1 PFS bag in one go ;)
