Well, as it turned out I bought a 2 Foot tank from a LFS that was closing and it turned out to be one OOOBA mistakey. They had been washing their gravel inside the tank which scratched the base considerably. DAM DAM DAM!!:captain:
The tank cracked on one of the lines a few days ago and we can all visualise the mess there after - on wooden floors I might add.

So all the plants I had bought for the tank are being "baby sat" - Literally!!! I had to put them in a tank that has some fry in it until I have rebuilt the tank. It looks a forrest in there for the poor little things

It's a jungle in there :) Sorry to hear about the tank - did you have any fish in there at the time and what happened to them?

Look on the bright side - you can toss the 2 footer and get a 2 metre :)

I dont have space for anymore tanks at the moment until the fishroom is finished, but a 2m would be nice. Ill give it some thought.

Usually something in the line of, "You dont comment on the 2m tank, I wont comment on the 3 dress sizes you went up since I married you..."

    It always resolves the problem..:p

At least I dont have another half to worry about at this point, Yep a 31 year old bachelor! I suppose I could always put it in my study or in the guest room? You people are wicked putting these thoughts in my vulnerable little head!

I forget to listen to the wife when watching the fish... Pondering on the next movement in the tank, the next addition...

Guys, the ONLY safe way to ensure that you maintain peace with your wife when it comes to fish keeping.... LET HER THINK SHE CHOSE THE FISH! When she suggests something at the LPS that she wants... come up with some concocted excuse that your "water perameters will not suit that particular fish," or "The Siamese fighter you bought last weeked will chow this one's fins..."

Workd everytime... and she has fallen in love with the hobby too! heehee

    LOL, I can relate.
But even better, get her a tank of her own. Then you have some temporary relief from MTS aswell. Just be careful of LFS that sells pink gravel, been down that route and believe me, there is NO way you can talk yourself out of that one....

Pink gravel??? You worried about that ????
Went down that route as you suggest and guess what??? We (she) now has a tank with hamster "cages" (those plastic jobbies), routing pipes, coloured pebbles (blue, white, pink, red, etc), latex type of sea grass.....Basically anything with a neon colour to it as it is a neon tank.
Will still try and convince her to post a pic of it LOL
