Culturing Live Foods: A Step-by-Step Guide for Culturing One's Own Food for the Home Aquarium by Michael R. Hellweg

Looking for this book if anyone has it locally that I could buy that would be fantastic. Trying not to import it if possible.

The information isn’t the goal, I’m a book brat. I’d like the first edition.

It’s the same with the Aquazonas mag the pdf is great but hard copy is something special

I also collect as many books on fish keeping as I can

Had a quick look on ABE Books
This isn't cheap! 2 copies are listed by USA dealers, one for £270, and one for £435

@SalmonAfrica is quite knowledgeable on books and local sources. Perhaps he can help you locate a copy

Don't mean to hijack this post but I'd also love some of the ad Konings literature or books on African cichlids in general. Actually want to fill a bookshelf with books of my hobbies I've had throughout my life so this would be interesting to add

Got a couple friends in the states that could get it for the equivalent of R700 odd the last time we chatted about it but prefer local always

I agree with @Reedfish, he recommended ABE to me a long time ago and since, i have found them to be the best source and trustworthy

I had one of my books that never arrived and within 48 hours of reporting it the money was back in my account and i re ordered it and got it with no problem

    Their selection is amazing too

ABE is a platform for book shops / book sellers to list their stock

Last year, I ordered a book from the USA which never arrived. I contacted the seller directly about this, and they ignored me. So I then contacted ABE. They gave me a refund immediately. Whether they took this up with the seller I will never know. Needless to say I won’t be ordering from them again

Think my brother got my one book off ABE, Atlast of Freswater Fishes 11th ed. But het sent it with somebody back from overseas as postage to SA is always a pain. Still need to get my hands om some good old books….

Pity its such a mission to get books here and also a pity that there are not many new books coming out. All the info is on the net but the quality is very poor you have to dig through a pile of websites to get all the info you need. Nothing beats a good book!

    Nice one!

Perhaps we should start a thread on new or newly released books….

I’d be a part of that thread, next year I am also looking at bringing the entire Amazonas collection in for myself, I’m sure if someone wanted issues or the collection shipping might be cheaper the digital isn’t scratching the itch
