I'm currently looking for a daphnia culture. Have micro worms as well. What cultures are you looking for?

These worms do vary in size, but offer similar nutritional value. It's handy when you've got very small fry, and then use each culture to progress onto larger food items. Banana worms being the smallest, and microworms the largest. Another handy thing about having a smaller worm (such as banana worm) is that it is suspended in the water column for longer, providing greater access time for the fry.

Nano Aquatics has some Walter worms you can order for fairly cheap, but shipping seems to be the catch. Try order with friends to split costs.

Have they been swimming freely for a week? If so, they have been eating. Fry otherwise die from starvation rapidly - we're talking periods of hours to days, depending.

Bloodworm you must start a culture yourself, there is info on the net. Tubifex are sewer worms usually, not sure where we would get clean cultures here...

Someone posted a link somewhere, it's fly larvae that you'll often find in stagnant water. If I see the professor again maybe he can bring his live food booklet that I read..
