Yiu can replace that one cracked pane of glass, and resilicone it, but it may prove expensive depending on where you can get glass from?? With the cost of glass from some places, it would be cheeaper to buy a new tank!! Not always though!!

    Hope you get sorted!!

    Cheers
    G!

Get a glass pane that fits inside the bottom, and silicone it down over the cracked pane. That way you do not haveto remove the broken one...

It'll work, I've done it on a 3 foot tank that had a crack along the bottom pane and a 2 foot that had a crack on the back pane.

    It'll work.
Silicon it well to the cracked pane, as well as silicon the edges. Basically from inside it'll look normal.

    crack in tank - also

I have a 3 foot tank and suddenly it started to leak. And typically it is at the bottom where the glass meets the styro-foam. I have relocated my fish (filter and all ) to the bath. Any advice on fixing this? Am panicking about my fish surviving in their strange environment.....

When you stick your head into the tank, and you can't smell the silicon.. then theoretically it's ready. I'd leave it a minimum of 24 hours... smell, when smell is gone, wait 5 more hours.

How about a specific bio-type? That's going to be my next project :) or even a species only tank?
