Wanted: Couple of stuff

Hi guys,


I'm looking for a couple of things:

A piece of Alanod +-950mm x 300mm for reflector upgrade on 2 Odyssea 39W units.
Contacted Arcona International, but don't want to spend R400 + for a 1250mm x 1000mm if I only need 20% of the sheet.
Anybody got a spare piece they would want to sell?

A small powerhead for extra flow in my 3ft tank and to keep air bubbles out of my PVC overflow (if any).
Was thinking of something like a AquaClear 20, it looks small enough.
Anybody know of a better/smaller powerhead with a venturi hole or a place where I can find the AquaClear 20?

A nice reliable bubble counter. I saw a few plastic cup counters at LFS, but the don't look so reliable.
It doesn't have to be a fancy ADA counter, but maybe a decent brass or cheaper glass one.

Any recommendations on a Co2 diffuser. Got sold a ISTA UFO diffuser, but every now and then there are bigger bubbles popping out over the ceramic disc and not going through the disc.
Don't know if it is the pressure of the regulator (40PSI) or just bad design, but not happy with the big bubbles.

And lastly some foreground and ground cover plants. I got some background/mid-ground plants, but need some for the front of the tank.
Was thinking of Lilaeopsis brasiliensis, Eriocaulon cinereum, Blyxa japonica, ext.
Anybody have some cuttings or know of where I could find some relevant plants?

hey will get some saga diffusors in at the shop next week maybe tomorrow. they are not bad at all

@Jenn - Spend a little to much this month already, so if you are still keen we can split a sheet somewhere beginning of next year.
Someone on APSA also wants to share a sheet. If we three can fit onto the sheet we can all save some more money, else you got dips on half.

And my (almost) 1yr old son really loves starting at his and my tank.

I dumped the overflow/sump idea and running a Tetra Ex 1200 atm.
Now just need the Alanod & plants :wink: then I'm set for now.
Got sorted with the rest.
