I bought a few corys labeled adolfoi but now that I have them I started to wonder as the black band down their back is alot thicker than that stated for adolfoi. When I took a picture of them under a macro lense it looks like there are serrations on the trailing edge of their pectoral fins but adolfoi are said to have serrations just smaller so I cant quite tell what they are.

    Could anyone help me?

In SA almost all Corydoras labeled as Adolfoi are actually Duplicareus so I agree with @Dolphin.
