Saw this red on my corry's tail end yesterday and thought it looked strange. Came in this morning to check on the fish and feed them and he was lying unusually still. Left it and came back the evening and he was lying in the same position..... when i took a closer look it looked like the tail end was a it raw.

    Any advice? [IMG][IMG][IMG]

What are your tank water quality measurements? Ammonia, Nitrites, Nitrates etc. Etc.

Have not checked yet. But all the other fish are perfect. Even the shrimp are fine so i dont think it could be water quality. But i'll have a look

Looks a bit like a condition called Red Blotch Disease. How long exactly is the fish and the sand in ?

Did the filter work well all he time.
How is the waterflow? No stagnant water?

Frequent waterchanges and the use of Melafix (iif that is available) could help this fish if it is Red Blotch.

I notice some red ubdrr the chin as well .
