My tank has now been planted for bout two months. Can see growth on the java fern but not the Anubias . Dosing with flourish. I currently still have both the coal and the ceramic in my filter. Which one (or both) should I remove from filter to offer more food to the plants??? And should I remove it gradually ? Or just KAPOW!! :dontknow:

Anubias grow very slowly and take a while to settle in, as long as you've attached them to rock or driftwood and not buried the rhizome you'll be ok. The charcoal by now will be inert, and add little value other than limited biological filtration, so you may as well remove it when next you clean your filter. The ceramic rings provide both mechanical and biological filtration, so you want to leave this in.

Give it time. Low tech tanks takes a while to settle and also not grow that fast. If you want plants that grows fastee there is a few stems you can use.
I see a few non aquatic plants in the tank also remember amubias and java fern must not be planted in the substrate. Its plants that grows naturally on rocks and wood

Thanks @Ryno. My anubias and Java is not planted in the substrate. Just looks like it in the picture. The little fern on right side is actually a plastic (still looking for a replacement for it). The only one I'm not sure about is the two little ones in the front. Not sure what it is...
