Competitions

Can any tell me if there is or was any comps on the site

 

Nope not that I know of.......I think it would be a great idea but the problem is who will the judges be, what will be the prizes etc etc etc.

 

how about a fish tank of the month competition?

 

Or a breeders award...

 

your moderators should be the judges and maybe for the first run no prizes just to see if there is any intress for something like that

I don't think that just the Mods should be the judge. I think all people on the forum (all of us) should be able to vote. Only problem is the prizes you don't all ways get people to sponsor and if there is no prize people loose interest! It has happened on so many forums.

 

Like I said we see we should brain storm and figure something out but ja a prize or 2 should be lovely

 

So are we gonna try this or not

 

I think we would had to talk to the admin of the forum first and see what he has to say about it and then we can start comming up with ideas for Completions :noworry:

I have to agree with Rory
I think the Competition will be a great hit for the first few months and then it is going to go south because of competition ideas or no prizes and so on so if you guys really want to do this you will have to have ideas for a long time not just for a month or two....
yhis is just my opinion...

 

plus, how will you hand out a prize to people from anywhere between the Cape and up here?

maybe an annual competition with 1-2 categories? In that way maybe more people can enter and whoever is sponsoring wont feel it soo heavy. I've seen fish tank of the month work, maybe a fishtank of the year is more prestigious?

 

Good idea Speedz - keeping the competitions few and far between might be a better solution, and make it more exciting for all who want to participate.
