Ah, those would be the eggs of the lesser spotted striped marble fish. I'm with azurekoi on this one, those definitely look infertile.

Nope @SHiBBY - perfectly legal...and would look cool in a small shoal with what you have planned for your tank..he,he...Just dont buy the colour injected one's...

PS: Thanx for correcting me on the new genus name - us "old school" fishkeepers tend to sstick with the old names...

@Slojo ... Please update pics when they hatch...

Don't thank me, thank WikiPedia for automatically routing to the correct page :-D Those colour injected ones are just mean... The lengths people go to just to have one of a kind stock. The other day I saw some pink fish (whose name currently escapes me) and I was stunned to hear that they aren't naturally pink, but had their protective mucus layer scrubbed off and then left in tinted water in order to change the colour...

    Mental I tell you...

I have some of those. They can actually live out of water :). I had them as a kid. My dad brought them in a net. I only kept wild caught ones just for a few years. Now i just have 2 from the same genus Spheritocia Tusticula . (Not BL)

Is this real or are they just marbles? Can't quite figure it out. This is what holidays do to me.

I had those coloured eggs when i was a egg. Although I lost alot of them in "egg" battles. But for some reason they're really hard when you bite them....

    Just getting dry pants..............................................

    It Is Marbles.
@azurekoi They cover the bottom of the Pink danios's tank.
    About 3 layers
I do not think they'll be able to get to the eggs.

@Slojo ... Exact depth I used as well when breeding the normal ones... I lowered my water depth to between 12 - 15 cm as well - less time for the parents to gobble the eggs as they sink...G'luck!!!
