    How much is the right amount of CO2 to put in a tank. Is there a specific recomended amount. Wanna get set up us soon as I have planted my tank.

    I guess it depends on your plant growth, mine is usually around 6'd

    lets see what the experts have 2 say...

    You can maybe look into something called a "Drop checker". Very usefull thing that stays in the tank to give you a co2 indication.

    Yes. But with a drop checker, you make up water with a specific hardness and the aquarium water hardness doesn't affect it. Thus you don't need to know your water's hardness.

    What would be a desirable hardness for a community tank? Mainly tetras.

    How do you test for hardness??
    Never bothered to try.....
