    So...

Getting CO2 equipment in Durban is not so easy! I thought I would start this thread to help everyone find details and information where they can buy the equipment needed in and around Durban.

From bottles, regulators to the CO2 gas etc.

If anyone has any advice or other information of companies they have dealt with, please feel free to add the info...

    Firstly...

Phoned Chubb Fire and this is the quote I was given...

Aluminum 2kg Fire Extinguisher R510 ex vat
    Wheel Valve/ Turn Valve/ Screw Valve R250
    Re-gas R17

    Some items are excluding vat.

    Ok, another quote.

Fire Check - 2kg Aluminium fire extinguisher = R950 plus vat and they do not change the lever to a Wheel Valve/ Turn Valve/ Screw Valve as yet...

Woohoo!!! Found a pet shop in Glenwood. They are new but are going to have a big fish section. They also stock Co2 equipment. Go check it out! PM me if you need more details where it is located.

To be honest I don't know if there is a rule in that regard, ive always done it.. There are pet stores who advertise and sponsor this site and its about sharing knowledge which I assume would cover our experiences in the various LFS' in our area. Ooops :p

Nah, as far as I can remember, we can name non-sponsors, just not give links and contact details and reviews like "these guys are so much cheaper than the sponsors"..

Seems fair, we are here to share what we know after all... apologies if I have upset anyone, no harm intended. On that note I have dealt with one of the sponsors I can tell anyone who will listen that their service was excellent and I wish they were in DBN

Ok. All Co2 is up and running.

So this is the end costs:

    Pet Professionals - SAGA regulator = R1500
Chubb Fire 2kg cyclinder and valve = R884

    So total was R2384

I have been on the look out for another company for Co2 and I have found one  The company is called Marine Fire and are based in Devonshire Av (I think its Av and not Rd) in Glenwood just below Davenport Center.

They do not do 'same day' regassing but their customer service was fantastic. Helped me so much and they were very friendly!!! And its around R25 per kg.

Will def be supporting them from now on :D
