Clyde's Shrimp thread

Hi guys, I know that thread is locked because shrimp is blacklisted and blaah di blaah di blaah.

But hey, everybody used his thread to get on their little soap boxes, and no one helped the guy.

You didn’t read the thread properly either, he did not BUY the shrimp, he was catching the shrimp. He could have just as well asked "I am collecting fresh water mussels/crabs, what..." Clyde this is also illegal, but most probably it can be viewed in the same light as collecting daphnia or other live food.

I would suggest you ID the shrimp you are catching and make sure it is indigenous. If it is foreign it might be a good idea to let DWAF and your local nature conservation know. It that case catch away, and get yourself a couple of oscars, sure they will enjoy the live food.

As to what they suppose to do in the tank; that we can not discuss, because they are illegal to keep without the proper permits.

I too have now been on my soap box, now the mods can please close this tread too.
