    Hi all, so I finally got a bigger tank...upgraded from a 80l to 240l and I am very happy I did and so are my fish.
    So my questions to all of you are will be as follows, but firstly a list of what I have;
    • 4 - orange coulered Malawi's
    • 2 - Electric yellow mallawi's
    • 1 - Blue/greyish colour malawi
    • 1 - albino malawi
    • 3 - pirhana looking fish, they have this pinkish colour
    • 2 - clown loaches
    • 2 - algae eaters
    • 1 - big pleaco(think thats how you spell it)
    • 1 - angel which is very big
    • 1 - glass fish
    • 1 - dwarf gourami(hope the spelling is correct)
    • 1 - one fish I only found out recently is on the blacklist( I'll keep it till the day it dies)
    So my questions to you guys will be what fish can I keep with the fish I have now and how many fish can one keep in a 240l tank?
    I run two 900l /hr filters aswell, if this helps.

    thanks in advance

    If they are fully grown then maybe just a few more malawis, like 4 or 5. I dont know exactly but I do know that malawis need to be stocked as heavily as possible to avoid agression.

    I think you might get away with some other kind of fish in there.

    @hazelbag,
    To be honest, I don't think that is a good combination of fish.
    If you want Malawis, they are best kept on their own.
    Or, if you want mixed community, then that is fine too.
    but due to the Malawi aggression, and specialised feeding, they don't go well with other fish.

    @Reedfish,
    So I spoke to the petshop from where i bought the malawis and I returned them and got some more peaceful fish and I doubt I'll go with malawi's. Thanks.

    The plecos can grow to 12inchs each very quickly and they're no wallflowers they can easily turn your tank upside down and make the clown loaches miserable especiallly if they arelready stressed being alone though I heard once they do shoal with tiger barbs

    Plecos are probably 1st of not 2nd after oscars when it comes to placing stress on the bio filters so lots of water changes
