    looks like a Bass haha almost like peakock bass but not a peacock haha

    peacock bass they are called, not sure of the species or scientific name is
    that is a monster breading male
    they are a huge largest cichlids species from south america, large open water carnivorous
    and alas black listed

    Thanks,weird looking fish.

    I wasn't aware bass are cichlids.

    heard that most die for itch and that they need soft water aswell, ment to be missions to keep

    that defiantly look like a peacock bass, but from what I hear they eat other fish

    Just something interesting I've picked up...

    I've googled pictures of this fish (like to get some information on fish I'm unfamiliar with) and most all of the pictures are fakes. The fish have been edited into the photos with the guys "holding"
    them.

    Strange...

    They are food fish so it mite just be fishing trophy shots

    They are fished for sport allot overseas.

    Best place to get info and pics is "monster fish keepers" best forum by far, wish we had a South African version of that site.

    And while you're there, read about the battle they are having with Monster energy drink who is trying to sue them because the MFK logo supposedly looks like the energy drink logo. :wacko:
