Cichlid ID pls?

    sorry for the bad picture but anyone have any idea what cichlid it is? i am told its a dwarf cichlid

    i just googled jewel cichlid and it cant be , mine look completely different. mine have a yellowish tail and grey/light blue body with bright light blue strips and dots only under the eyes

    @KennyG Maybe it's a new species of fish or a nannacara anomala.

    well the 2 are really peaceful and all paired up , the guy at the petshop said to me it was a dwarf cockatoo cichlid or kribensis but yea im at a total blank area :blink:

    Do Both look the same? If its nanacara anomala the female is smaller and not as beautifull. Try and get a better pic

    Looks far more like a Nanacara than the Neolamprologus... I think it looks like a dwarf cichlid of some kind.

    mmmm this does seem like the little guy , they both look very similar , my hunch is that they are both females cause they arent very very bright but do have the colours of the species

    Then it wil be males. The females is quite ugly imo i have 3 pairs nanacara anomalas

    yes i believe u guys have hit the nail on the head here :D thnx :D they seem very timid in my tank at the momment , and are eating a little ? is this just new tank syndrome? also my tetras are a lot more timid but is this just because of the edition of new fish for them also?

    They wil settle. The females gets a dark spotted colouration when they wany to breed.

    well the tanks a hub of activity now , all the fish seem much more at ease :D
