    6 hour soak and no leaks .... 90x60x60 +- 300l

    catch22plan.jpg

10 mm was perfect for the tank, deflection is not noticeable on the long sides.

Quick water test at the builder loolilocks

Spot on the desk ... well not spots since I do not have any leaks.

Now what to put in this tank?

    Filtration: HMF, HOB or canister
    Lights: CFL, T8's or LED
Substrate: Earth (maybe not need to play with this more), PFP, AS ... TBD
    Plants - ah yes
    Fish - yes

I would go for Canister and T5's... (I know T5 wasn't in your list of choices). If build a canopy that can word with it, Some Daylight CFL's would do the trick as well.

odd shape tank... could do something really special with it..

    HOB filter..

not CFL, it wouldnt penetrate the 600mm depth. i would go with T8's or T5's

a nice desert coloured substrate.. sort of orange colour - similar to what @Aqua is using in her 468L planted.

i would say perfect for a different type of planted scape.. somehow introduce some hills and valleys, you have the enough bottom surface area for that... with some smallish pieces of bog wood covered in moss around some tall broad leafed plants to one side.. make it look like an oasis in the desert..

fish... lots of panda corry's scurrying about the bottom between the hills and perhaps a large school of neons, 30 or something like that..

@f-fish, is this a Starfire glass tank that Juan made for you?

It's a really nice looking tank. Lots that you can do with it.

@Skye01 ... yes it is, I am amazed how clear it is.

Yeah - think HOB will be the way to go for now. Got two Eheim's 2042 driving a HMF in a two 3ft tanks .. thinking of moving them to this tank.
First thing is substrate I think.

@Jimmy eurolux FS102 2W MAX .. It is just a spot I was playing with a while back nothing capable of growing any plants at this depth I would think.

Ok so this poor tank has had a sad tale .. and still it needs even more tlc, truth is, it has been sitting with that strap stopping it from splitting for 12 month + , I really do need to strip it down like I did with its cousin.

For now it will again be a source of loads of HM - thinking of doing a HM terrace - well lets see how that goes.

Not filtration, only the sun as light source.

Just removed loads probably 4 liters of HM with algae.

Will let it sit till I have the time to resilicone.

I am thinking of revining this tank ... but that is going to be a truckload of work, and then I need to find a space for it.

    hmmmm .....
