    Hi All

I have a Cascade 1000 on my 240 liter malawi tank. I have installed it with the coal, sponge and black filter (think it is the bio one). Would it be recommended to rather replace that with ceramic rings in the canister?

Secondly: when I clean the filter, should I wash the bio matt (or ceramic rings)?

    Cheers Riaan

    Hi Riaan,

Pop over to the articles section in the subforum.

    There's a few tips I've given there.

I'd definitely include some ceramic rings, or even better, something like Seachem Matrix.
