That "sword" type plant is it an Anubia? (trying to learn the different types of plants here) It looks like the one in my tank.

    Hi Gareth,

I am a real newby, but i have had 3 of these guys for the past year and they are currently breeding.

From my research i decided they must be zebra's otherwise called Pseudotropheus Zebra. Allthough they are yellow, they can appear much more red in the wild.

Not sure if it correct though, so don't take my word for it.

I think you are right, they were given to me as zebras so they must be.

were are you based, because I think I have only got males so I am looking for a few females maybe if your breeding pair succeed then i can bye a few from you.

Both females were actually pregnant twice before, but i didn't have a seperate tank to move them to and i never saw those babies.

This time around i stripped the one female, but it appears too soon and the babies have died.

The second female is in the holding tank now. I am just going to leave her there and see what happens, she is definately holding at least 25 fry but haven't spit them out yet.

I am based in Cape Town, Century City. Will let you know if they make it and post some pics.
