Camallanus Worm Treatment

Hi guys seems one of my germans rams have camallanus worms. Basically inflamed anus with a red worm sticking out of it. What treatment can I use to get rid of it and stop it from infecting my other fish? Can I purchase something from the local pharmacy or vet and dose the tank with it?

lavamisole works great and fast - try the vet
fenbendazole should work too. (the vet wil stock it - its a dog dewormer (droncit)
neither will hurt the fish or plants (or any Crustaceans)
Dosage:
lavamisole @ 1ml/100lt
fenbendazole @ 500mg/200Lt
Both are for one treatment only. It should not be necessary for another but can be repeated after a week if needed.
don'tdo water changes for a day or two after the treatment.
It might be a good idea to do a water change before treatment

Active ingredients: Cyclohexycarbonyl, Hexa-Hydro, Hpyrazino, Isoquinolin, Praziquntel.

 

Whoa holy crap this stuff is potent, all the worms that were sticking out have fallen out and I removed them from the tank..

 

The stuff I bought from Dorry pets for my problem, worked like a charm:

I am happy to report that my male German ram looks a lot better this morning now more swelling around the area of the anus and the worms that were all hanging out are all but gone.

 

Added the last of the treatment as per instruction, and so far so good haven't noticed any ill effects on any of the fish nor have I noticed any worms. On a side note they say it is harmful too snails and shrimp but mine seem to be doing fine.
