Visited my son in Germany last weekend and made some awesome pics in his garden, which I think are worth sharing. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

The last appeared to be a Black carpenter bee. Never seen one before.

These hover flies are cute but can become rather annoying if they keep coming back for your sunglasses.

Two weeks after I arrived in the UK, a fat bumblebee came and sat on my leg for a bit. It was so cute.

Yeah bumblebees are great pollinators but I was talking about the hoverfly irritating me. I swear it's never seen a South African in the UK hahahaha

    Very pretty pictures.

You know when I first came here, I stared in wonder at those bumblebees and smiled like a kid seeing pretty things for the first time and I just simply couldn't tear my eyes away from the busy bees. They were so cute!

Aad, you should invest in a good macro lens setup, you've got a keen eye for good pictures ;)

Only seeing your post now. Awesome foto's. Love it when people see more than the flower.
