    Good day
I want to build my own Canister filter but can't find the right equipment. Ive seen in a lot of videos they use a pipe with a screw cap. I'm located in Centurion. Where can I find what I need? Was also looking for bulkheads as i have some drums that I want to connect to each other. Thanks for the assistance. Much appreciated

I'm pretty sure there was somebody in PE on this site that did something similar in the past year or so, perhaps you can search on the site.
LFS can often get this for you, places like builders generally only stock the plumbing PVC stuff, dory pets are very helpful, alternatively guys who do irrigation should be helpful as well.

Thank you all for the response. I'm down with the flu :( I'm thinking if I should not rather get a bigger tank and make my current small tank into a sump.. any recommendations?

You can go to any large hardware store, or plumbing supply store. They have the large diameter pvc piping used for drains, which comes with threaded end caps. Works well. All that you need to remember though, is to make sure that the return pump used inside creates "suction" inside the chamber, and not pressure... this will prevent leaks.

Thank you Jaco, I went to builders in Centurion, they have the pipes but no threaded caps. I'll check out some of the other recommendations
