    I have a 100l tank and want to build a stand for it. Guessing it will work out cheaper to build one rather than to buy one.

    Any ideas on how I can accomplice this?

    @Vez

    Maybe Vez can give a few pointers on this as he is currently busy with building one.

    Kind Regards

    Just a heads up. I got a very nice sturdy stand at Cash Crusaders. Was like R100 for 1.2m length.

    Hmmm thanks for the advice.
    Just one more question. Should the base of the tank be resting in totality on the stand? Or can the base handle a stand which only holds it along the sides?

    @Jimmy

    Add a wooden board over the stand. This will give the tanks base maximum support. Also dont forget to use polystyrene for the tanks base

    Yip all sounds right, my std 3ft only has support on the sides, you can "brace" it, like they do with bigger tanks, or use the wood? when you do this, make sure to incl everything you want and need, bend some steel , weld it on the side, and you have a place for the airpump......the list is endless.
