Brown algae on plants?

    So i only saw this morning that some of my plants had been covered in this brown sheet.
    I'm not sure if its algae or not, but it happened over night.
    In the image it doesn’t look very brown, and its mostly on the bottom half of this leaf, but in person there is allot more of it on the leaves then what you can see.

    Any idea what it is?

    That sounds like diatom algae.Usually breaks out in a newly set up tank.Should be temporary.Otocinclus does take care of it in no time.
    Regarding that leaf,it looks damaged and you should consider removing it.

    How about a full tank shot.I see some bolbitis as well but can't clearly see if is the submersed leaves or the emersed leaves.

    I have the same problem my green crypts look like the brown variety.
