Will shrimp breed successfully in a tank with Guppies and Tetras? Or is it best to have them in a tank of their own?

Any shrimp bred in a community tank will be seen as a snack by the fish.
Adult shrimp should be fine, but could still be bullied, with limbs torn off.
To successfully breed shrimp, it is best to keep them in a shrimp specific tank.

I have shrimp in my community tank with Tetra, Gouramis and a Ram... I can honestly say the fish have little impact on the shrimp population. If anything, they keep the population from exploding. If the shrimp have places to hide (moss etc) then you won't have any issues breeding shrimp. As an aside, I also have a dedicated shrimp tank, and they bred at the same rate in both tanks. My 2c worth.

Thanks. Yes they have plenty of place to hide.

Hi agree with BadgerBadger , as long as there are hiding spaces they should do fine and shrimp re-populate quit quickly so should be fine.

I want all my baby shrimp to survive, and therefore suggested a separate tank.
There are currently 3 berried females in my tank, and can't wait to see the first little ones swimming about.
2 are normal red RCS, and the other is a very dark brown.

I started out wanting them all to survive but very quickly realized that I'd have a problem on my hands if they did! They really do breed like crazy... Given the right conditions they'd almost be a pest.
