Well, the past couple of weeks have been quite exciting. It would appear my fishy friends don't think I have enough of them...

Around 30 guppy fry - not that surprising or unusual... Another girl or two are bound to drop some more within the next few days.

163 pink convict fry (yep! I counted them ) Quite impressed with this as this is only the second time they've spawned. Last time mom and dad devoured every last one within the first day. This time round however they seemed to have learnt a bit from their last mistake and lived in (relative) peace and harmony for just under two weeks. So long story short - removed the fry as mom and dad had a domestic spat (read: dad tried his best to kill mom).

My biggest surprise came from the cories though. Woke up about a week ago to find a couple of eggs attached to the glass. I'm quite sure that there were a lot more to start with and that the other fish had a field day. Any way, thought why not - let's see if they will hatch. Scraped the eggs off the glass and left them in a guppy breeder net in the tank. A couple of days later it was time to clean the tank. Had a quick look in the net, but it looked like the eggs had all gone "moldy". Then I noticed some tiny little things at the bottom of the net - cory fry!!!!! Counted 18. Just noticed that there are eggs on the glass YET AGAIN!!!

I am running out of space (8 tanks running at the moment). What I'm gonna do with all the fry I have no idea...

I am seriously thinking of trying to find a vet that can spay or neuter fish lol ...

Been feeding crushed bottom feeding pellets. They seem to like it as I give them about a 1/4 at a time, and it's always gone the next time I go to feed. I've tried to hatch some brine shrimp - but was not very succesful in actually getting to feed it to anything. They are dissappearing (think my daughter is trying to "save" them from me):wondering:.
