Breeding Log - DT Violet Butterfly Male with HM White Female

This will be my fourth pair that I am going set-up for breeding.

 

Again a really nice pair. I'll be curious to see what colours come from this pair.

 

I used the flash on my digital camera, without it the female looks pure white and the male has lots of white running through his fins.

 

This will be awesome fry. Great colour match-up here. Will keep an eye on this thread Keith. I ordered some new imports as well from Pet Stop of which one is a White HM female, others are red gold dragon HM female, full mustard DT female, a Black BTF DT female, a Blue MG HM male and a Black Copper BTF HM male. Just waiting for ETA!!!

 

Over the weekend I will be taking more pictures of my bettas and post them on the forum.

I have put a hold on the breeding for a short while, I decided to use the one section of my bedroom an make it into a fishroom, I moved into the entertainment section of my room. I received from my buddy 1.2m fish stand which can hold 4 x 1.2m fish tanks. I bought from Altum 2 betta tanks they are L1200 x H220 x W540 and they are awesome, which Altum advice he had made is easier for me to prepare multiple spawning tanks in the 1 betta tank, the other I am using to house my betta collection. I am then building me 4 more breeding tanks L450 x W225 x H200 which is the smaller version of the big betta tanks. I have 4 x 38L tanks for rearing my fry.


My small Crown Tail Female gave this male such a good beating I took him out my breeding program until he is fit and ready. This CT female has beaten up 4 males already, but I want to be present when I try an breed her again. She is just an agro little girl that needs a good spanking. LOL

 

Oh ok. When you get time post some pics of the tanks for multiple spawnings, I'd like to see that. You need to get an agro male for that female, try a young male of about 4-4 1/2 months old, they are plenty agro.lol.

 

What I have read out Crown Tail they are aggressive when it comes to spwaning, but I will try her later once I have everything set-up
