@Skye01, yes I have a couple of tri-coloured one's. I think I can say on the safe side that I have just about any colour and patern you can think off more or less.lol. Some I will be keeping for myself. Some are big, some are small, all in all almost a 1000 of them in my collection from breeding. PM me if you are interested.

I got a snap of his tail, but it came out blurred :( You can still see the streaks of green in there though :)

Yeah thats the one (I myself wanted more female collection) but I will not do that till I have all my other tanks up and running.
at the end of the day, you can keep quite a lot of females as they dont fight, and they are sometimes just as pretty.
I waiting for Charles to get online, dont wanna phone him to tell him to move his bum off his viewing chair - im sure his glued to
    the new baby

I've only looked at females in our LFS but we're going to pick up a couple of new boys from Charles and hopefully some females too :) The ones are our LFS are pretty dull so haven't been too keen on getting any of them.

If I took our boy out of the community tank and put some females in instead, would they be okay in there with the swords? And how many minimum should be kept together?

I couldnt say how many females you can keep but they sure are happy just all been together
@Cookie ask ur lfs to make u a battery tank but a decent size or else just loads of small tanks
scattered around the house. you cant keep 2 males in the same tank, they will rip each other apart
so while you fancy males, you gota becareful or try keep them in these battery tanks with dividers
They are fine with any comm fish, my dull female is with guppies, molly, platy gorumari and 2 plecs and 1 black ghost knife
but I want to get some blue, green, red females and they all be crowntails

@BBQ We're thinking of buying a couple of 60L tanks and dividing them into 3's, or buying a few little tanks.. We're not fully sure yet, going to have a look when we go this weekend, also going to look at Charles' set up and see what we want to do :)

A battery tank? What are they? We saw some tank dividers at our LFS so we'll see! :)

Am thinking of putting 3/4 females into our community tank with our 3 swords & 3 upside down cats :)

They are little tanks that is built on a straight set
Multiple compartments using 1 sump to feed all tanks
It can be 10 dividers. Like u would see at the lfs.
But those are too small, at least better then keeping them
    In a tiny bucket

Hmm.. We'll have a look into them, maybe they'd be okay for conditioning? Or is there enough room in there for them to swim around happily? We'd like a tank that can be split for them but used for display and conditioning also, kind of killing two birds with one stone :)

These can be made to your spec, once I finish my
2 new tanks, I'll ask petstop to look into a setup that i want.
There are also sucker pad type for bigger fish tanks
But I recall some from the forum had a problem with that setup
The battery had sucker plates and it came off and the whole thing
Went into the bigger tank and all males got lose (6) of if I recall.
They had a killing frenzy and lost all 6.
The one I want will be a stand alone, with one straight compartment at
The back of each cell where I can use 1 heater to warm all their water.
I'll try post a drawing soon
Or ask charles and look at his setup, I have yet been to see his setup

Oh okay that sounds good, sounds much easier and cheaper than setting up 6 individual tanks lol.. Thanks @BBQ! I'll drag my partner to all our LFS and see if any of them can make one up :)

Yeah do that 6 birds with 1 stone. Save on eletricity bill
There are pro and con with regards to this but study them
If one is infected others would too.
Remember rather go with ur heart what u want at the end of the day

    Logging off for tonight

It'll also save on space as we're pretty limited in that regard, will have a serious think about it :) thanks so much for the advice @BBQ! Night night :)

I'm here @BBQ, @Cookie. Sorry but I was busy cleaning fry jars and repairing a 4ft tank. I hope I got the 4ft sealed now... lol. 3rd time luky they say... Yes I got that female as you already stated, I have one just like her, they could be twins I tell you. Also got some more female's, CT's and DT's.

@BBQ you can have some of my betta babies not mine...lol. Your CT is beautiful.
@Cookie you to can have as much as you want...just don't breed with me please, my wife will seriously disagree...lol. Your VT is beautiful.
