Have you tried conditioning with live food?

Sometimes these things take a while. One needs patience o_O

If you succeed you need to have a plan for the fry. Nothing worse than getting stuck with a tank load full of fry that no one else wants

This is one of the reasons I stopped breeding fish.
The lfs in my area were prepared to take just so many youngsters from me.
And then I had the issuee of what to do with the rest.

With Bettas, you have the additional hassle of what to do with the males, as they all can't be housed together.

I have always found breeding bettas quite easy, as long as the temperature of your water is around 26/27.
