    Hi all
I am considering breeding angels on a big scale but I want to know if I use a 100lt tank and split it with a black piece of perspex then drill 3mm holes in it to circulate the water would the Angels breed or will they not?

I want to put 2 pairs of angels in at a time and move the fry as soon as you can see they are angels and put them into a 1.2m x 60cm x 45cm tank to grow, will this work at all?

Gareth, I suggest you use a 100l tank per pair. Keep the fry with the parents till they look like baby angels (bodysize of a 10c ) Yhos will also give the parents a rest!

Personally, no I dont think it will. Space is 2 small to raise so many angels to that size. Plus the 2 pairs will probably eat their spawn if the can constantly c each other. Dark coloured perspex and thats solved, but I would still remove eggs and hatch away from parents. Youd need about 300l minimum to raise 1 good angel spawn.

I have had success breeding angels 3 times now but I really want to go big on breeding angels.
I think that Gert has got a point I will have to put 1 pair in a 100lt tank and wait till the fry look like "Small Angels" then move them over to a 250lt grow out tank or a 360lt tank depending what is open.
