Interesting question. You may get some fighting as they will stay as a pare for life as far as I know. I am not experienced with angel fish so it's just my oppinion would like to know what others think.

i dont mind trying it but there might be a risk it will break up the pair so dont want to take any chances and will a male fertilize a females eggs even if i pull the eggs from the female and just place the eggs in the tank of the male

No, dont even try....the pair will bully the female, and the can get pretty agressive, a pair sticks togethere, and n male will not leave his partner for another female, and they will defenitely not do no 3 some!

You can break the pair up for about 2-3 weeks then intreduce a new female to the male if you are not happy with the female.

Yes for sure...haha allot of people can learn from Discus and Angels, when it comes to being faithfull to their partners. I must be honest though, in my years of keeping Discus and angels, I had 1 of my male Discus, swop his partner for another female....this is a rare ocation, and it happens seldom or never actually.

I don't think that would work. The pair would just bully the extra female.

I doubt the 3rd female will lay eggs if she isn't paired up.

Well, from what I've witnessed in my tank with angels, every month my 1 stripe angel lays eggs and my 1 Koi angel fertilizes them. And always hanging in the background is my other koi angel. Take a wild guess what ends up happening with that '3rd wheel' hanging around??

Once the eggs are fertilized, the 3rd angel doesn't hesitate and eats them! Every single one of them! Every month, shot for shot, that's what happens!
So, in my opinion, I don't think breeding angels in 3's will work...

Seems my angels belong to a swingers club,, as the swap partners frequently.
