Brand new member of the forum

Hi all!

My name is Courtney and I'm a full time student at Tuks
I have loved fish keeping from a very young age and have kept a fish tank before, specifically a Betta tank.
I however have not been in the hobby for a few years but have recently returned and this time I am starting a very basic beginners planted tank...
the reason why I have joined the forum is to seek advice from more experienced fish keepers in order to ensure that I am able to give my fish the best possible life.
I have a 19L Fluval spec 5 (please don't judge, this was the best I could do in a student flat)
it currently contains 2 narrow leaf java ferns and an anubias nana attached to a piece of drift wood as well as a Physella acuta snail that hitched a ride from the plant supplier
should I take it out or leave it?

no fish at the moment as my tank was only set up today and still needs to cycle
will submit pictures in the future

Nothing wrong with the spec 5 ... I would remove the pond snail .. they get a bit much.

Welcome to TASA. So much judgment, if you can fit a 19l tank you could fit a 4ft tank When the tanks cycled, what fish are you thinking of?

 

Welcome! And no judgement here. As long as the tank is kept in good condition with some filtration all should be well!

@Slade the 19L barely fits on my kitchen counter no way a 4ft would fit lol
I'm going to keep a Betta
