hi i also got 2 of them. and i think yours are both male but not 100% sure. the one in the first pic doesn't look very well and looks a lil younger than the other one.

The 1st pic shows a common deformity. I would guess maybe 10% of my fry would be like that. It should have been culled unfortunately.
BRs are extremely hard to tell apart before they reach sexual maturity. If I was to hazard a guess I would say pic2 is a male. I'm basing it mostly on the red fin edges on the caudal fins and the deep red of the anal fin. Not conclusive by any means though.

But its not suffering or any thing? I will keep him as is then, but the only thing is, the one I bought(2nd & 3rd pic) chases and nips at him a lot.

Will this become an issue or what is up with that??

Thanks for the replies so far.

It depends on just how deformed it is, since it is the head that is the most affected it might have issues feeding but this is again speculation. Its a tough decision to make. I have a deformed fish as well and it stays clear of the other, bigger fish. My only advice to you would be that if you were to keep it please make sure it doesnt breed.

Other than that I hope you have loads of enjoyment from these guys :)

@jedigenie He is starting to eat well, I got these funny sinking pellet stuff from @oscar freak and he eats that. He tends to lay on the plants at the back of the tank but when the other guy sees him, he goes for him. But other than that they are doing good. I wont let him breed. I will look at maybe getting him his own setup if I get a female or two for my little guy.
