Yesterday two of my ram's paired off, they were digging and moving around the gravel for quite some time.
When i checked on them later they had spawned .

I'll add a photo later ( can't get them through the firewall at the moment. )

Just got one question, if the eggs hatch will the parents protect the fry against other rams and neon's?

    Thanks
    David.

The parents should protect the eggs/fry but they tend to not be overly aggresive and some will get snatched by persisant predators. Its nice to see how they learn from past mistakes in successive spawns though. You will likely find that they will choose different spots until they are happy, this could take a few tries. Normally they will look to cordon off a corner for themselves so you can look to add a bit of java moss in the area for them to help protect the fry.

Good luck and enjoy the spectacle :)

Well the eggs and parents are still doing fine.

Thanks jedigenie for the insight, I'm sure I'll have more questions soon.
