Blue Ram

    hi ppl

    today i got my first Ram, the lps sold it as a Blue Ram, i wanted to take two, M+F, but i dont know the diff???

    can anyone help with this? as i have seen a few on the net, and i think the one i have, is a male, will post a pic asap.

    then, anything i need to know about them? as he/she is in my 3ft comm tank, and seems to be happy.

    i would like to try and breed with them if i can?

    @Ves you should be looking at the top fin.The male is more sharp,pointy and is pointing up words.I checked the pic and it look like a male.

    Rams are TOUGH to sex but I would say you have a female there. Rounded tail, dorsal and anal fins. Also I have noticed that females have a black stripe on the leading edge of the pectoral fins. Cute little bugger, hope you got one from good breeding stock.

    If you got it from {Mod edit: LPS name removed} they are all females that's why I did not buy any sorry about the Lps mention
