Bloated Convict - Can I help him??

If this had been a female, I would've said that she is eggbound, but it happens to be a male.... and it has been in this condition in excess of a year.... (it is not dropsy)
He lives a normal live and shows no signs of stress...... but to me, it looks uncomfortable.... what is his problem and is there anything I can do for him??

 

Could it not be a swimbladder problem?

 

Most likely some sort of internal cyst that is growing on one of his internal organs

maybe he's abit different.. like u know balloon rams? i think they were originally normal rams but bred for that certain baloon trait?? try breeding him and see if his children come out the same?!

if he's not suffering i see no point in trying to "cure" him
