Bloated Angel

    Hi my angel fish is bloated,I watched a video on Youtube saying you must use Epson salt in the water to relieve the constipation.Have anybody used this method before and does it work.I came to the conclusion that my angel is bloated aka Beardee because I just feed it flakes(omega one super colour).

    If the fish is eating, rather soak the food in some dissolved Epsom salt before feeding. Bloat is often a symptom and can be caused by a number of diseases. The best course of action is to post a pic of the fish and give is a rundown of your tank maintenance, setup, water conditions and how many fish you have. Tank size, type of filter etc etc

    Broder is correct a lot of diseases shows as bloat. If it is bloat stop feeding him for now.

    Never had bloat in my fish, only one that had dropsy but could never save him.
