Blacklisted species no longer blacklisted

Hey guys and gals,
I'm currently looking at the governement gazette no: 32090 regarding all invasive/alien species.

I can't find shrimp anywhere on this list.

My only problem with these lists is that they're list 2 & list 3... where in tarnations is list 1???

Anyhoo, I'll keep looking.

EDIT: found list 1... it's of the exempt species: here not the full document though o.0

Maybe Henk can shed some light on the subject :bigsmile:

I'm not entirely sure. That's why I want Henk to comment ^^,
He seems to know alot more about the blacklist than most of us, so I'm sure he'll be able to shed some light on the matter.

 

Just spoke to DEAT - it will be law end of the year early 2011 - if you want to blame someone blame the reptile guys

There were numorous threads on the subject but I couldn't find these lists that's why I asked.

they woke up after the closing date for submissions, had some legal eagle threaten DEAT to open it up for submissions again and set the process back a year

 

Well according the last time i imported, i was given a white list and if it aint on the list you cant bring it in.Will the same apply

 

That's the fault with the black list - it says what you can't bring in. This leaves a giant hole where people may bring in/trade things that have newly been dicovered or recently been put on endangered species lists, that couldn't have possibly been put onto a black list.

If they had a list of what is allowed, which, sure, would be an impossibly long list, it wouldn't leave such gaps.
