    I'm totally gobsmacked after having read through the lists of plants and fish that are banned.
    I never realised that the lists were so long.
    Learn something new every day.

    The banlists are long indeed. And so outdated! Some of the species that are on there, really should not be, in my opinion. Take the axolotl for example. Could NOT survive and breed in our local water systems - water needs to be below 20 degrees and above freezing, and they would be wiped out fast by local fish and frog species (platannas. OM NOM NOM). And it is not a case of further endangering wild populations, either, since they breed easily in captivity and are not wild caught. Nor is it a case of introducing diseases to local amphibians - axolotls don't, as far as I am aware, act as vectors to diseases (chytrid fungus) like platannas can...

    saw some CRAYFISH yesterday at LFS, are they legal?

    didnt even Know u got fresh water Crayfish, they do look Awesome though ...
