Not as awkward as an entire message lost in the original thread.

The fact that it is the festive season does not change the fact that trading in black listed crayfish is still illegal. I take the first post, of this thread, by @morris extremely personal and will not leave it there. Defending a person by deleting a post and then making a remark as you just did, questions my take on moderators that should be neutaral. I fully understand why you deleted the origanal post but seeing where this thread is going I do know the meaning of defamation. Do you?

Unfortunately no.... we dont have control over RSS feeds...

Personally... when i see an RSS feed like this, that we know its something we cant have, i take it for what it is... interesting read...
Some fish keeping magazines sold here, feature species which are illegal in our Country.. we read the magazine and.. that's it....

Why cant we accept RSS feeds as just interesting read and go on to the next thread?
Why does it always have to end this way...

@Pierré Schoonraad ... Sorry.. im coming in at the tail end of this...

In @Reedfish defense, which i had agreed with him, he deleted @morris post in all good faith due to the fact that it was advertising the sale of blacklisted species which we do not allow
We do however allow discussion on blacklisted species

The fact that @morris took advantage of the fact that @Reedfish deleted his advert to start this thread and denies his advert.... I am shocked ...

In future Mods must close comments RSS feeds immediately when they become aware of such adverts.

I guess we take it in good faith that people wont take advantage of such threads but.. i suppose it doesnt work..

I’m with Pierre S on this one, having Morris in clear violation of rules of this forum, patently misrepresenting what he wrote and then, when called out, calling someone a “dick” and a “chop” on an open forum I believe deserves a somewhat harsher sanction than the mod asking people to “be nice cause it’s Christmas”....Ive seen people get kicked off this forum for far less...my uninvited 2c worth...

TASA as with the other hobby forums has taken a serious knock in terms of quality (yes mine included) and quantity (trying right) of posts. The instant gratification of point in time follow the herd messaging has all but made this type of platform a relic of the e-past. Personally the RSS feeds make little sense, but I see why we would want to create traffic - reminds me of the FB hook-up to sponsor posts that almost never saw the sponsor respond or interact on TASA. As I am typing this I can only wonder when we will see the last round being called on TASA. I am almost certain the world can do without my ramblings or insistence that a pic is worth more than 160 characters ( I hear this number might have increased ). As for the original post being removed - glad to hear it was a deliberate effort and not a glitch in the matrix that never saw an owner.

Fermentation and especially the consumption of the product of said reaction has made for many a post that was less than representative of the man - not saying this is the case here, but evaluating the CnH2n+1OH level of a posters and assigning a risk rating while interacting on a forum is an invention that could have saved several online reputations.

That is really what this is about - reputation, of the individuals and the community created on TASA.

Thinking about the OP's closing comment in his first post of this thread .... if I was the recipient of such a character sketch, I would be more than happy to have the words Sir, donkey and lamb weaved into the mental picture - clearly the word order of donkey and lamb is rather important to the reputation one would wish for. As it is it is rather uninspiring and a typical point-in-case where a picture might have been a better option.

As for the 10 contributors to this thread ( a scaringly high percentage of the active members of TASA ) - we are all here for the love of keeping aquariums, so lets see some pics of you doing what we all do ... (ahh, in your own thread obviously)
