Black Substrate

    HI,

    Can anyone here assist me in getting black sandlike substrate.
    I read that the volcanic rock will work great.

    No Prob, I have black sand in all my tanks and i find that the fish seem "happier" and their colours come out more with a dark substrate...

    I found black sand @ R55 for 5Kg's so tomorrow ill go get about 7bags, which will give me 35kg's of substrate.making my substrate about 5cm deep...

    Which one jody?

    I found, oddly, that Pet Stop was the cheapest i found the bags for so far, 5kg i think for R60
    (most places sell for 70 plus)
