    Hi fellow fish buddies,

I read from on of the members the other day that he only had positive results with using bio-vital on a weekly basis.

Can we see a few hands of members who also uses it and if it is really worth it.

Fifteen different species of bacteria and eight different enzymes have been carefully blended with zeolite and montmorillonite clay to produce Aquarium Bio Vital.

Each gram contains over a billion selected microbes and multiple hydrolytic enzymes.

The following benefits will be derived from regular use of Bio Vital:

Increases dissolved oxygen by eliminating Bio-Chemical Oxygen Demand (B.O.O) and Chemicals Oxygen Demand (C.O.O)

Helps eliminate suspended solids, bottom sediments and liquifies solid wastes

Helps eliminate Ammonia, Nitrite, malodours and toxic gases (Hydrogen Sulphide)

Adds valuable minerals and helps stabilise pH

Promotes growth and increases survival rates

Reduces levels of heavy metals and pathogenic bacteria, thus helping prevent disease

Helps eliminate Nitrates and pea-soup green water

Stimulates and enhances the biological filtration process

NB!!! Use one Level teaspoon for each 100 liters of water use weekly with water changes.

    A quote from another site:

"Personally, after a tank is cycled I don't tinker with the water. Natural bacteria multiply at incredible rates and will recover quite nicely from water changes if you don't change the filter in the same couple of days.
So, I'm saying don't bother with products that don't actually help.
There are too many other fish goodies to spend money on."

Post from JWh who uses it in all his tanks

probiotics on a weekly basis, this makes your water almost "disappear", and it looks like fish float in air. he use Bio-Vital with excellent results, glad i found a lfs that makes their own and have been selling it for 12 years.

I love Bio-Vital! I look for it everywhere here (George) but can never find some, always used to get it in Jhb, am rationing out the last bottle :) For me personally, it just seems to make my tank look better after I've used it. Now, this could be a 'placebo' effect, sort of when you service your car and you could swear it just runs better, but yeah my 2 cents is I've used it a ton of times and always recommended it.

What I always seem to notice most is how much clearer my water is, and that is what I can vouch for. It definitely improves the clarity of the water in an amazingly short period.

So yeah give it a shot and let us know if you see a difference!

There quite a few different products on the market, mostly aimed at koi ponds, but they work equaly well in aquaria, I started by using the septic drain activator, which is in essence the same product, but grown on bran so a bit messy for a tank.
